Switching out of S-Mode in Windows 11

Windows 11 S mode is a special version of Windows that only lets you install apps from the Microsoft Store. If you want to install apps from other places, you’ll need to switch out of S mode.

Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Click on the Start menu and select Settings.
  2. Click on System and then click on Activation.
  3. In the Switch to Windows 11 Pro section, click on Go to the Store.
  4. Follow the instructions to switch out of S mode.

That’s it! Once you’ve switched out of S mode, you’ll be able to install apps from anywhere you want. Just remember that switching out of S mode is a one-way process, so you won’t be able to switch back later.
